On May 6, the 24th annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) came to an end, with Black Sherif being named the winner of the prestigious Artiste of the Year honor.
In the AOTY category, Black Sherif triumphed over fierce opposition from well-known performers including Piesie Esther, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Camidoh.
Black Sherif won a number of additional honors in addition to the renowned Artiste of the Year title, confirming his status as a rising star in the Ghanaian music scene.
More than 20 other gifted performers, in addition to Black Sherif, were honored and recognized in a number of prize categories, highlighting the wide range of musical ability in Ghana.

The event saw top-notch performances from some of Ghana’s most talented musicians including Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Piesie Esther, Ofori Amponsah, King Promise and Kwabena Kwabena.
It also recognized the outstanding achievements of various artists in different categories.
