We are beyond thrilled to share an extraordinary milestone in our journey at Gmine La Sangna Training Centre which Haruna Mahama who is CEO and Technical Teainer, Minkailu Hamidu Yakubu Silinba has Community Engagement Coordinator. Our team recently had the honor of participating in the prestigious 2024 McDan Youth Connect event, and it has been a transformative experience that we are eager to celebrate.
First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the McDan Foundation, SDD UBIDS, and SRC for their unwavering support and for providing us the incredible opportunity to pitch our project. Being selected to present among the top 10 contenders was an achievement that filled us with pride and excitement. However, the events that followed exceeded our wildest expectations.
Originally, we aimed to secure a grant amount of GHC10,000.00 to further our mission. Imagine our surprise and elation when Dr. Daniel Mckorley, in an act of unparalleled generosity, awarded us a staggering GHC50,000.00! This monumental support is not just a financial boost; it is a profound vote of confidence in our vision and the work we are doing.
The impact of this grant cannot be overstated. With these funds, we can significantly scale up our training programs, reaching even more young people in need. This means expanded resources, enhanced training modules, and the ability to provide even more comprehensive support to our community. Our mission to empower youth with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive has been given a monumental lift, thanks to this extraordinary act of kindness.
We are deeply humbled and immensely grateful to Dr. Mckorley and all the partners involved for believing in us. This support will not only help us make a greater impact but also inspires us to work even harder to make a difference. It is a testament to the power of community and collaboration, showing that when we come together with a shared vision, incredible things can happen.
