The new managerial board of Wa All Stars FC has rebranded the club as Legon City Football Club after completing their take over ahead of the 2019/20 GPL season.
The 2016 Ghana Premier league champions ended its eleven year stay in the upper west region as a topflight club and have now changed the club name and its logo as part of their rebranding exercise.
Wa All Stars FC sealed topflight in March 2007 and have since fed the football fans in upper west region with thrills for the last decade before it was moved to the nation’s capital.

Change of owner from then GFA president, Kwasi Nyantakyi, saw the new management moving the club away from the northern belt for the first time since its inception.
The Madina Park in Accra, proposed as the match venue for the new club, has been rejected by the Club License Board, leaving Wa All Stars with the Accra Sports stadium as the most likely destination for the home matches.
