The 20th annual BET awards came off on Sunday, June 28, 2020. This time around the event was a virtual one.
Performers who were on the broadcast included Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Nas, Usher, YG, and many more.
Later on the show, the full list of winners for the 20th edition of the BET awards was announced.
Beyoncé was honoured with the annual Humanitarian Award in recognition of her ongoing philanthropic efforts, and Wayne Brady paid tribute to the late Little Richard.
During the show, Roddy Ricch took home the award for Album of the Year (Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial), Megan Thee Stallion was crowned Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Lizzo was honoured with the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist accolade.
