Wa: Group Supports Regional Hospital with PPEs to fight Covid-19

The items donated includes 200 boxes of surgical masks, 150 disposable gowns and 50 gallons of 5 litre hand sanitizers among others.

Donating the items to Health authorities at the forecourt of the Wa Regional hospital, District Grand Master for the District Grand Lodge of Ghana and Togo Mr Isaac Huud indicated that since the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, the organization has helped numerous health facilities in the country including the donation of equipment’s to Noguche Memorial Institute among others testing and handling the deadly coronavirus cases.

Mr Huud said the organization will continue to support and help government in the fight against coronavirus and urged Ghanaians to follow the safety protocols to avoid being infected with the virus.

The Medical Director of the Upper West Regional Hospital Dr Robert Amesiya who received the donation on behalf of the hospital thanked members of District Grand Lodge of Ghana for coming to the aid of the facility with PPEs. He assured them that items will be put into good use for its intended purpose.

A District Ruler of District Grand Lodge of Ghana Dr Sir Edward Gyeder, said the kind gesture will help equip the hospital to carry out its duties in fighting the deadly virus. He urged management of the hospital to keep moving despite its operation without seed capital adding that he used to conduct operations or surgeries with torch light as a result of lack of electricity at the health facility.
