Black Sherif, a young rapper from Ghana whose real name is Mohammed Ismail Sheriff, has received his second BET nomination.
The 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards have nominated Black Sherif in the Best International Flow category.
In order to win, Black Sherif must defeat nine other rappers. Aka and K.O. from South Africa and Sampa the Great from Zimbabwe are two of his rivals who are Africans.
Other nominees are Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France), Tasha and Tracie (Brazil), Central Cee (UK), J Hus (UK), Gazo (France), and Central Cee (UK).
On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the program will be recorded in Atlanta.
Last year, Black Sherif received his first nomination for “Best International Flow,” but Benjamin Epps won the prize.
He shared the ‘Best International Flow’ nomination at the 2022 edition of the illustrious awards program with Benjamin Epps (France), Central Cee (UK), Blxckie (South Africa), Haviah Mighty (Canada), Knucks (UK), Le Juiice (France), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
In keeping with BET’s pledge, “the telecast will salute 50 years of hip-hop with not-to-be-missed moments and performances.”
