Mr. A.A Aziz completed the then Wa Polytechnic in 2017 and while He was in campus He served as the ICT departmental executive and he did his National Service in Wa Poly again as a T.A, while doing His Service He contested for the Wa Municipal NASPA vice president which He won and proceeded to contest for NASPA Upper West Regional President which He won as well, Mr. A.A Aziz went ahead to contest for NASPA National Secretary and for the first time a polytechnic graduate won that position in the history of National Service Personnel Association (NASPA).
During His days as a Departmental Executive of DHLTU formerly of Wa Poly He, together with his colleagues organized the first ever educational Field Trip to Accra where colleague students were offered the opportunity to have a firsthand Field experience of what was studied in campus, this trip was organized by us (departmental executives) for free for all students under our care.
Secondly they gifted their members with the first ever departmental clothes in addition to the t-shirts from the ICT department.
At the National level, He was able to help products from our institution to have their national service postings without paying anything and those who were posted outside the Region but wanted to come over to do their service were equally helped during his time as National Secretary of National Service Personnel Association and those with issues of their allowance payment and registration process were equally supported even when he left office.
Again He collaborated with the institution to organize a symposium on Breast Cancer awareness, CV Preparation and how to handle ourselves and position ourselves after school to meet the Job market.
Before He left office he made sure a product from our institution for the first again succeeded him as a National Executive.
During his time again, the Upper West Region and Upper East Region for the first time since 1992 experienced their first ever National events of National Service Personnel Association (NASPA), He together with his executives also donated Mathematical instruments to Some basic schools in Northern Region and furniture as well, They again drilled boreholes across all the then 10 Regions of the nation. They collaborated with some organizations to build few NASPA Hostels in Upper West, Northern, Central and western Regions to help service persons in these areas etc.
He’s back to DHLTU doing his B-Tech program in the department of Procurement Logistics and Supply Chain management, he believes he has the experience and technical know-how to lead GNUTS as the National President but this cannot be done without the support of colleague students. He will leverage on his past records and experience to help especially our institution to come to par with the rest of the Technical Universities in the country.
