Popular Savannah region’s blogger, producer, music promoter and C.E.O of “MoreLife Entertainment”, Kenneth.S. Yussif known in the showbiz as DJ MoreLife has stated that actors in the music industry in the region must wake up from their slumber or risk losing it forever.
MoreLife said Gonjaland Entertainment industry is currently suffering and will suffer more if care was not taken to improve on activities of the industry.
‘We lack competent Entertainment team and executives to lead us to the promised land. How many of us know of Savannah music executives? If we have, then they are over sleeping and it time they should better wake up and work’.
He said would continue to promote southern music and musicians because they pay for every step taken although he doesn’t charge them for services rendered. I only promote those Savannah based artists that approach me.They must learn how to do promo, he added.
If top musicians like Samini, Edem, Optional King etc can call you for a promo, why can’t my own people leave pride and fall on us to promote them?
The musians must learn from Daanga, Tom Taylor,Rap Kodji and many more on who to include in their teams and how to approach promoters.
One thing that angers me much about Savannah music industry is their way of approach. Artist will send songs via WhatsApp and says ( good morning DJ, help me promote please) no caption, no artist identification and instead of sending it in document form, they always send the songs in audio format forgetting that WhatsApp reduces the quality of songs.
He urged them to accept criticisms because tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
Taking lessons is one of the most effective ways to becoming a better musician. They should not let their one corner hitz songs scam and deceive them into thinking they are stars and therefore sit at their comfort zone and command Industry players to work for them without appreciation.
If you called yourself a musician, then you need to put in the effort it takes to play like a professional.
Musicians must do what should be done appropriately. They must challenge themselves to master something new as often as possible. They must pendown something good everyday.
Stop the hatred and grow the industry in our area.
What would you gain by picking up beef with a brother?. People who use other people as stepping stone will one day lose their balance for sure. Jealousy and envyness are part of our biggest problems here.
He called on them to do good music because ‘you’ll not only gain popularity, you’ll change the world around you too. Don’t let hatred use too much of your thinking.
It is artist management error to cloth, pay recording bills, shooting video etc for your artist. Contract must be signed. They have the biggest investment persentage in their own lives. They shouldn’t stay aimlessly doing nothing and expect the manger to work, use his hard earned money to do all those without returns. Management provide to keep the brand but not entirely their responsibility.
We only keep artist looking neat, fresh and unique to differentiate our record labels from others. Management must only invest in songs that can be played everywhere and fetch money back home.

Artist managers should not encourage mixtapes. How can you ride on somebody’s shoulder to grow.
You have talent, wake up, prove it and sell to people the powerful project you have and you will surely get help to push up your career.
He thanked his colleague promoters for the good work they are all doing. Perhaps the most important quality in the industry is patience. If you hit a wall, don’t worry, just keep going until you get it right. It takes a lot of time to be a truly wonderful promoter.
