It is undisputable fact that religion plays a major role in the development and progress of every nation including Ghana. In light of these importance and contributions of religion to Development and nation building, The D2S ( Wonder Twins), the most vibrant, consistent and fast growing talents(brand) within the upper west music fraternity and Ghana at large, are currently on a peace mission and religious unity campaign to help build solidarity and peaceful coexistence among the different religions in Ghana since it is one of the major driving forces in every country. It is found in almost every corner of the country and even within the hearts of individuals and practiced by almost everyone in the country. It involves the believe in and worship of a super natural being, controlling power, especially a person, God or gods.
Religion is arguably one of the vital pivots in the development of every nation including Ghana but unfortunately it is mostly abused by many individuals which affects development and progress.
It is based on this backdrop that the D2S (wonder Twins), wish to use their talent and influence in promoting religious unity in the upper west region and Ghana as a whole.
The Ghanaian society has three main religious practices namely; Christianity, Islam and Traditionalist. Christianity is the major religious practice in Ghana which involves the believe in and worship of the Almighty God and Jesus Christ mostly practiced by Christians. Islam on the other hand is the second largest religion which involves the believe in and worship of Allah and the prophet Mohammed. The Traditionalist is arguably the oldest but smallest religion in Ghana. it involves the believe in and worship of smaller gods including other supper natural forces. There are different kinds of beliefs and practices among these three (3) different religious Bodies which sometimes lead to conflicts, misunderstandings, chaos etc and can eventually lead to War. These religious differences promotes religious intolerance which threatens development in the country.
The D2S are set to solve these religious challenges and bridge the gap between these religious bodies in order to promote development. They are known for their consistency, relevancy and high level of influence in the music industry. They are currently the choice of all music lovers in the region and beyond. Their music is creatively pregnant with great punchlines of wisdom and sense. They therefore wish to use their influence and creativity to impact into the growth and development of the upper west region and Ghana at large by promoting peace and unity among the different religious bodies in the upper west region.
The D2S are not only excellent in music but are also very critical about using their talent to effect positive change in the society and for that matter the upper west region. They are therefore calling on all religious stakeholders to promote religious tolerance for peaceful coexistence in order to promote development in Ghana and for that matter the upper west region.
This project is undoubtedly one of the biggest and most impactful in the region as far as the music industry is concerned.
