Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member Dr Tony Aubynn has confirmed media reports that the Premier League will have a new headline sponsor before the 2022/23 season begins.
In an interview with Alfred Takyi Mensah on Onua Sports’ Agro Fie on Monday, July 18, the Medeama SC board chairman stated that the league will soon have a new sponsor.
He said that the new sponsorship will be one of the league’s best in recent years, implying that the agreement between the GFA and the company is for less than five years, but the benefits are enormous.
According to reports, Betking will be the league’s new headline sponsor.
The league has been without a headline sponsor for three years after a five-year, $10 million contract signed in 2018 between the Football Association and Zylofon Cash expired prematurely due to the financial institution’s dissolution.
However, it has many category sponsors, including NASCO, which is in charge of man of the match and monthly awards.
