On the 14th of February, 2026, a day recognized across the world as a day to celebrate love and compassion, the spirit of giving was exemplified in Loho, Upper West Region. Through the Samini Foundation, a donation was made to the St. Don Bosco Special School, re-emphasizing the Foundation’s dedication to supporting the less privileged in our society.
While Valentine’s Day is recognized as a day to celebrate love between two people, its significance also lies in reminding people to show love to those in society who need it most. As the CEO of the Samini Foundation, Samini continues to advocate for the development of initiatives that encourage people to take up social responsibility. The Foundation has indicated that this was part of its annual Valentine’s initiative to share love with the vulnerable in the region.
The Samini Foundation presented: Two bags of maize, An undisclosed amount of cash. The items are expected to contribute to the feeding and general welfare of students at the special school, many of whom require special care and attention.
The donation was officially carried out by Zakaria Aliu Domanangimne, President of the High Grade Family in Wa, and his entourage. Acting on behalf of the Samini Foundation, he stressed the need to express practical love and solidarity to children with special needs.
Their visit was also a demonstration of the strong working relationship between the High Grade Family and the Samini Foundation in promoting humanitarian causes in the Upper West Region.
Over the years, Samini has managed to carve a niche for himself not just as one of Ghana’s finest Dancehall artistes, but also as one who has used his life to make a positive impact on society. This Valentine’s Day gesture is just a continuation of his legacy.
With the Samini Foundation’s continued support of St. Don Bosco Special School, the world is reminded again of the value of love, which is best demonstrated by taking action. This initiative serves as a reminder to everyone that no matter how small the act of love and kindness we show to others may be, it can have a tremendous impact.
As the Samini Foundation looks forward to making this a yearly activity, the message remains the same: love is best demonstrated by giving hope and showing care to others who need it most.
