Ghanaian international centre-back Samuel Kojo Abbey was adjudged Most Valuable Player of the season for his club Kasuka.
The dynamic former Mawyawadi FC and Dagon FC star had a fantastic 2022 season for Brunei Super League giants Kasuka, scoring 5 goals and providing 9 assists in all competition.
” It is a honor to win this award”, said Abbey.” I just want to appreciate everyone for the support especially the fans, my teammates and the board for the trust put in me, it is a special moment and special appreciation to the people of Brunei as well”.
Abbey was awarded by Kasuka Team Manager Mr. Hj Adee after surpassing team mates Adi Said and Dudi.
He began his career with Ghanaian club Nananom FC and few others before leaving the shores of Ghana to play at Kitengela Shootes and JMC Hippos.
After trails sections in Nyammar he eventually signed with Myanmar club Mawyawadi FC, before his big breakthrough in the Myanmar National League with Dagon Stars United Football Club in 2019.
