The fast-growing college that prides itself on academic excellence in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region has emerged as the winner of this year’s Independence Day celebration in Wa.
Senior Victory Collage Primary School, put up a splendid performance to win the primary schools category, at a parade of school children made up of 15 primary schools, to mark the 66th Independence anniversary celebration at the Naa Sidiki Bomi II park in Wa.
The school scored a 78 per cent mark to place first, while Sweat Mother Primary School and Yebile primary schools took the second and thired positions, with a score of 72 percent and 65 percent mark respectively.
This is the second time the school participated in the national celebration since its establishment in 2010, first as a Senior High School and and converted into a basic school but has since proven to be a force to reckon with in the region.
It has always prided itself on quality tuition, a beautiful school environment, and a nice transport system with affordable school fees.
According to the Proprietor of the school, Mr Sulemani Mumuni, who spoke to Radio Mak in Wa, he said the school is ready to compete with any school in any competition in the region.
When asked about the secrete for winning the primary category, he said they prepared for the competition since the beginning of the year.
He added that he has professional teachers who took the students through practice and motivated them to do their best.
Mr Sulemani Mumuni admonished the learners to burn the midnight oil and endeavour to make good of the day, especially considering the job market challenges, for them to make a meaningful impact.
