One of the oldest anti-malaria drugs in the world, especially in African, is the Chloroquine.
Now, through the chase for the cure/anti-viral drug for the world-threatening Coronavirus, Chloroquine has been discovered as one of the top 3 antiviral drugs for coronavirus.
Chinese experts through clinical trials in over 10 hospitals have confirmed Chloroquine Phosphate has a curative effect on the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The deputy head of the China National Center for Biotechnology Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Sun Yanrong in a press conference suggested the drug be included in the next version of the treatment guidelines and applied in wider clinical trials as soon as possible.
The world, Africans, in particular, have reacted to the news that Chloroquine is the cure the world has been waiting for.
Whiles some are surprised by the news, others have taken to their various platforms to praise Chinese doctors for doing all they can to arrest the deadly airborne disease.
