DCC is an association of Dagara/Dagaare people with membership of dagaare people from the Northern part of Ghana, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire and brothers and sisters in the diaspora such as, Germany, Italy, U.K., U.S.,Dubai ,Libya,Spain, Lebanon Sweden, Belgium etc. Dagara Culture Connect(DCC) seeks to promote the cultural values and image of all dagaare people wherever they are, irrespective of geographical boundaries and locations. We are all united by our shared values and beliefs system which is our culture and the dagara/ dagaare culture for that matter. Our DCC motto is: Our Culture Our Pride. And as our slogan goes: Dagara To The World, DCC and its members are promoting our cultural values through music, art, entertainment, videos and life talk Shows.
In addition, DCC is committed to helping our people especially the deprived and those living in deprived communities every year. Founded by Hellen Dery, and barely five months in its formation, DCC and its members have already made some achievements in their commitment to helping the needy and the communities through individuals donations. Last year, DCC made donations of various items to different orphanages in the districts of Jirapa, Lawra, and Nandom.
This year, DCC donated a borehole in Foli-Teng , a village in Fielmuo, Upper West Region, on April 24 .This was made possible thanks to the dedication, commitment, sacrifice, and donations from our proud brothers and sisters of DCC. I wish to thank all DCC members and organizers for their unwavering support and contributions in making the Fielmuo Foli-Teng borehole project a reality.
