The art and creative industry as well as Business owners in the Upper West Regional capital, Wa, gathered at the Mommies Kitchen Conference Hall to unveil the maiden edition of the Dakuleda Magazine here in the capital. This event happened on the 22nd of December, last month.
The magazine is said to be in support of the lifestyle and entertainment fraternity. The First of its kind here in the region, the magazine is also expected to partner with the Business community for a maximum benefit.
Alhaji Zakaria Zibrim the regional Chairman of motor dealers at speaking at the event noted entertainment as a potential ground that needs attention. He explained that organizers of other events should feel free to approach them for a partnership to build an enabling growth of the show business.
The ceremony, dominated by the media and music enthusiast turned to an exceptional launch in a long while. Personalities such as DJ Chicago of Radio MAK, MC Alaska of Home radio, DJ Ike of Radio Upper West, Muniru Ibrahim, Anaaka Waris amongst and a host of others. Ayus of Freeking Entertainment, Fashion King, DJ 9ice, DJ Another, DJ Galaxy, Shabidoo, and the manager of Bajaj motors, Mr Justin Abesig were all present at the ceremony.
The magazine cover artist, the 2019 Best Upper West overall DJ at the Ghana DJs Awards last year. DJ Pyrate was unveiled by Alhaji Zibirim and other high profile personalities at the present at the ceremony. The monthly piece also covered stories from entertainment blog sports such as ghgoonline.com, onemuzikgh.com, xpressghonline.com and all other sources including, hamattangh.com.
Maxwell Maakuu the executive producer of the magazine was confident the magazine would go a long way to give the entertainment and lifestyle printout the boost that needs to be here in the region. Speaking at the gathering, he again called on bloggers to contribute to the success of the magazine as stories from their sites would be placed as contents on the magazine in some instances.
Several suggestions were however made to for the improvement of the monthly news document which needed many inputs to soar. The Dakuleda Magazine is a subsidiary of the Dakuleda online shop where one can buy merchandise and pay on delivery within Wa and anywhere in the Upper West region.
The event had a performance from promising artists such as Hani Berry and Kid Kudus who gave a splendid performance.
Our reporter on the ground spoke to individuals who expressed prospects for the magazine further suggesting an increase in the quality of material that goes into the prints. Whiles some also expressed that, the content of the magazine is scanty as. ‘‘there is no detail to the stories on the page’’ a participant observed at the ceremony. ‘‘I hope they improve the content in the next edition’’ he suggested.
