Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU), under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Hamidatu S. Darimani has deepened its international collaboration by solidifying a partnership with the University of Basilicata in Matera, Italy.
Prof. Darimani is currently touring Europe with a delegation that includes Dr. Ibrahim Kariyama Denka, Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance and Dr. Nasiru Alhassan, Head of Department of Agricultural Engineering at DHLTU. Their joint participation reflects the universityโs commitment to building strong institutional linkages through teamwork and shared expertise.
This milestone, part of the Waste Reduction and Management (WARM) Project coordinated by DHLTU and funded through the EU Erasmus+ programme, will enable:
โข Student and faculty exchanges
โข Joint research initiatives
โข Shared teaching programs
โข Access to research resources and facilities
โข Seminars, lectures, and knowledge exchange opportunities
During the visit, the delegation also explored Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site , and toured the AMIU plant in Bari to observe advanced automated systems for urban solid waste management.
This partnership reflects DHLTUโs commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration, supported by the leadership of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hamidatu S. Darimani to advance the universityโs vision of purposeful international engagement.
