The Head of Electrical/Electronics Engineering Department, Dr. Joshua Apigagua Akanbasiam, has won the Best Scientific Paper in ICT Award at the 3rd Biennial Applied Research Conference of Technical Universities in Ghana (ARCTUG) 2024. The conference took place at the Sunyani Technical University from May 28, to June 1, 2024. The theme of the conference was: “University, Industry and Government Partnership for Accelerating Innovation and Entrepreneurship for National Development”. All the ten Technical Universities in the Country participated in the conference.
Deserving participants were presented with awards after presentatins of their papers. Dr. Akanbasiam’s paper titled “Performance Evaluation of Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Using the Monte Carlo Simulation Method in an AWGN Channel” was adjudged the best scientific paper in ICT.
This research not only demonstrates his adeptness in tackling complex technical challenges but also highlights his commitment to improving digital communication systems, which are crucial for modern broadcasting.
