H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been declared the winner of the New Patriotic Partyโ€™s (NPP) presidential primaries after securing 56.48 percent of the total valid votes cast across the country.

The former Vice President garnered an impressive 110,643 votes, outperforming other contenders to clinch the partyโ€™s flagbearer position ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The nationwide exercise saw party delegates from all regions participating in the crucial internal election, which forms a key step in the NPPโ€™s preparations for the next national polls.
