United States and Liberian centre- forward Michel Okai is set to leave German club Türkspor Nürnberg as a free agent when his contract expires next month.
The club confirmed Tuesday that Okai will leave the club July 1 after playing 18 games since he joined German team Dergahspor Nürnberg in July 2017.
” I want to thank the officials, fans and my teammates at Türkspor Nürnberg for accepting me wholeheartedly and this club means so much to me, I pray in future to return and continue what I started here,” Okai stated.
The former Philadelphia Fury was born in Monrovia, Liberia and has spent almost all of his club career in the USA, Peru and Germany.
He is expected to find himself a new club before the start of the 2018/19 football season.
