Young French-Algerian goalkeeper Sofiane Mahmoudi, currently signed to Luynes Sport FC has earned a call up to the Algeria U17 team ahead of the forthcoming Algeria U17 and Mauritania U17 friendly.
Sofiane’s outstanding performances with Luynes Sport FC captured the attention of the Algerian Football Federation after successfully switching nationality this year.
Having made 18 appearances, the 16 years old was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, France to French- Algerian descent parents.
The friendly match expected to be played tomorrow at the 5 July 1962 Stadium will feature a lot of French born U16s and U17s players with Algerian origin or roots.
