The 9th edition of the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) took place on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. The prestigious event honoured outstanding talents in the African film industry.
Veteran actress Patience Ozokwor received the Industry Merit Award in recognition of her remarkable contributions to the industry. Notable films like Jade Osiberu’s “Brotherhood” and Kunle Afolayan’s “Anikulapo” emerged as winners in multiple categories.
