The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the academic calendar for basic schools for the 2020/2021 academic calendar. According to the calendar for basic schools made available, Kindergarten, Primary, Junior high school and Senior High School will reopen for the new academic year on September 15, 2020 for the first term.
It said pupils and students would be in school for 14 weeks and would go on Christmas break of December 14, 2020. The Vacation will last for 25 days; from December 15, 2020 to January 8 , 2021.
The calendar indicated that the second term Academic year would commence from January 9, 2020 to April will undertake 14 weeks of academic activities. They will go on holidays from April 13, 2021 to May 7, 2021; 25 days for the Easter festivities.
The third and final term of the academic year will cover a 12 weeks period. It will begin from May, 2021 and End on July 26, 2021. The 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination will be written from June 4 to 8 2020.
