Konta CHPS is one of the few finest health facilities in the upper regional capital, Wa, with excellent service delivery. The facility is located at Konta, a suburb of Wa in the east, just along the Wa Kumasi road on your left from town.
I had a wonderful personal experience when I sent my pregnant wife there on the 14th of June 2022 around 10:05pm for delivery. It was nostalgiac watching the nurses doing their job, humanly and professionally possible to ensure the safe delivery of my beloved wife amidst the logistics constraint.
Few minutes later, my adorable wife was delivered of a bouncing baby boy with both mother and child in a very stable condition. The midwife, Madam Atama Elizabeth, and the entire workers gave us the best of treat. Secretly monitoring activities at the facility, I realized their sense of professionalism. They really showed that the future of health service in Wa was a promising one.
After introducing myself to them as the CEO of Xpress Media, owner of xpressghonline.com, I had the rare opportunity to interact with them more especially on their field of work. What I found out was that the number of patients that patronage this particular facility was overwhelming coupling with the logistics challenges facing it.
I would kindly use this medium to humbly appeal to the authorities to speed up plans to upgrade the CHPS to a befitting health centre. It’s also my vehement appeal to the authorities and other benevolence organizations to equip the facility with the needed human resources and other logistics.
