NExA: NPP Sagnarigu PC to be crowned Female Politian of the Year

The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Sagnarigu, Mrs. Felecia Tetteh who doubles as the party Northern regional Second (2nd) Vice Chairperson will be crowned the Female Politian of the year at the 2nd edition of the Northern Excellence Awards (NExA) in Tamale.

This is in recognition of her outstanding contributions in the political arena of northern Ghana, most especially in the Sagnarigu Constituency and the entire Northern Region through her Women and Youth Empowerment initiatives as well as remarkable leadership roles among others.

 

NExA is a special initiative put together by the Celebrities Charity Development Foundation in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Award winners; Smile Multimedia Agency and Partners to annually recognize and honor distinguished personalities who have positively contributed to the development of Northern Ghana and beyond.

The 2nd edition of the Northern Excellence Awards will take place at the GLOBAL DREAM HOTEL in Tamale, on Saturday, 7th March 2020, from 7:30pm.

Madam Felicia Tetteh last Ramadan as part of her philanthropic gestures donated food items to hundreds of widows in the Tamale Metropolis. Her donation included 10 bags of Rice, 10 bags of maize, 50 crates of soft drinks and 5 gallons of cooking oil to enable them celebrate the Eid dulfitr.

The Sagnarigu PC this year also evacuated a heap of garbage in Paring, a community in the Sagnarigu Constituency of the Northern Region.The refuse, creating a lot of havoc in the community had been abandoned for the past six years, despite several appeals to authorities.

The CEO of Tacorabama also donated Five thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 5,000.00) to help save the life of a 3 weeks old baby at the Tamale Teaching hospital (TTH).

The three (3) weeks old baby, Mohammed Timtoni Fuseini was suffering from a type of Spina Bifida condition called Meningomyelocele and Hydrocephalus. He needed to undergo a surgery at the Tamale Teaching Hospital at the cost of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (10,000.00). The donation of the NPP Regional Second Vice Chairperson enabled doctors to start the surgery process of the baby which saved his life.

These gestures, among many others, according to organizers of the Northern Excellence Awards makes her a role model to many young female politicians in northern Ghana following her triumph in the political space in the North.

The Maiden edition of NExA last year witnessed the former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Otiko Afisah Djaba, Deputy Minister for Energy, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr.Nashiru Issahaku and Northern Regional Minister, Hon. Salifu Saeed among others being honored for positively contributing to the growth of Northern Ghana.
