Samini’s trip to Dumba @ 100 in the Upper West Region – Read Full Story


The arrival of Pibilee Naa Samini (Samini) on 2nd day of November 2020 to the Upper West Regional capital, Wa, for the Samini Dumba fest 2020 will go down in the history as the most exciting event any artiste would ever dream of.

Wa Municipality was agoged with enthusiastic fans who displayed skills in bike riding all to welcome Samini and his entourage into the region. Pibilee Naa Samini moved with the zealous crowd majestically through the principal streets of Wa.

First stop was at the Wa Naa’s palace where the sub chief (Pibilee Naa Samini) paid his homade to the overlord of the waala kingdom, His Majesty Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV. As custom demands, samini revealed his mission which was to honour and participate in this year’s Dumba festival. Wa Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV gave the team his blessing and appeal to Samini(Naa ) to continue to show love to the people of the region and beyond.

From the Wa Naa’s Palace, King Samini and his entourage made a stop to have a feel of the local brewed pito at Bilibuo, a suburb of Wa.

Team Samini (Pibilee Naa) was later surprised with an artwork from pencil man(Subur Mabruk, a young artist and a fan of Samini) The astorishing artwork which depict Pibilee Naa Samini in his royal regalia was presented to Samini. The king (Samini) was amazed with the love and talent shown him by his fan and promise to sell the brand of pencil man pencil to the world.

Then came the big night, the premises of the Wa Naa’s Palace was filled to the brim with fans of Samini, son of the soil and African Dancehall King. The night saw a host of tantalising and electrifying performances from Di-Yungsta the wa nyoma hitmaker, Sypha, Prince Karim, Daud Kunateh, bwoy wan, Gally, Wiz Maleek among others. Then came the moment everybody was waiting for, Samini on stage. The outstanding performance came from the king himself who gave fans and lovers of good music a night to remember with back to back live band music. The king of Dancehall gave a thrilling performance with an energy packed live band music to the delight of music lovers. Some of the songs Samini performed included Linda, Gyai Shi, Movement, My Own, Sweet Mistake, Obra, Obaa, Music and Iskoki.

The following day was equally a busy day for the king (Pibilee Naa Samini) as he took part in the shooting of the video “All Over” by Wiz Maleek, a song he (Samini) featured.

In the evening, Media pressing and interaction session was organized by the High Grade Family to interact with stakeholders in the entertainment industry such as Musicians, Bloggers, creative artist and other Industry players in the Upper West Region on Wednesday, 4th November 2020 at Zennes Guest House in Wa.  He advised them to work hard and take advantage of Social Media to make effective use of social media as a promotional tool for their works and also expressed his inflicting support for artistes in the region. He used the platform to announce his upcoming collabos with PRUMAS artiste of the year, Best Gally and New artiste of the year Bwoy wan.


Samini  Dumba fest 2020 will go down in the history as  one of the best moments in the upper west region and fans could not hold their joy but keep shouting for the return of Samini for Dumba fest 2021.
