The CEO of Women Powering Possibilities WPP, Philanthropist and aspiring Upper West Regional Women’s Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party NPP Madam Nancy Dery has donated shower gels and a cash amount of five hundred Ghana Cedis to Bahass Foundation in the Wa Municipality towards the celebration of this year’s World Mental Health Day by the foundation in the Upper West region.
Donating the items and cash, the representative of Madam Nancy Dery, Hajia Nuhuma said the CEO of WPP and philanthropist Madam Nancy Dery was touched by the benevolence of the CEO of Bahass Foundation Mr Illyasu Baba towards the mentally ill persons in the Upper West region over the years to better their lives.
Madam Nancy indicated that as a stakeholder from the region, she saw the need to donate her widowsmite to the foundation for a successful celebration of this years World Mental Health day in the region by Bahass Foundation.
She added indicated that she has trained some women in the region in soap making to make them self reliant and donated to several individuals and organizations in times of their needs.
The aspiring Upper West Regional Women’s Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party NPP Madam Nancy Dery assured the people of the region that she will continue to support in every aspect for the growth and development of the region.
Receiving the items, the CEO of Bahass Foundation Mr Illyasu Baba popularly called “BAHASS” thanked Madam Nancy Dery and other donors for the generosity shown to the mentally challenged persons in the region by donating towards the celebration of this year’s World Mental Health Day by the foundation in the Upper West region.
Mr Baba said he has been following the philanthropic works of Madam Nancy Dery in the region and urged individuals and organizations to emulate her by contributing their quota to the development of the region especially Bahass Foundation which is a non profit making organization working to ensure a decent living of mentally ill persons in the region.
