A TV3 documentary titled ‘Sperm Merchant” produced by Stanley Nii Blewu indicates the Upper West Region is one of the places where the sale of sperms is booming.
According to the documentary aired on Wednesday, the 8th day of March, 2023 at 9:00pm sex workers based at Odo Hotel in Nakore sell sperms from unsuspecting clients to ritualist.
One of the sex workers spoken to in the documentary said “I was brought to Ghana (Wa) by someone and asked to use my vagina to pay ghc5000.00”. According to her she has successfully paid the ghc5000.00 and now needed to make her own money. So therefore, she had no option than to sell the sperms to make money. According to the sex workers, each piece of condom with sperms could be sold as much as ghc100.00 and the volume of sperms in the condom could also determine how much it should be sold.
According to her there is a cartel in Wa that is into the sperm buying business and these people are linked to others in Accra. According to the documentary these sperms are used by money ritualist.
If you are found in the Upper West region and a patron of the brothel at Nakore or any other brothel around town, you have to think twice, your sperms might just have been used for rituals.
