Wa, Upper West Region – A group of aggrieved members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) in Wa has issued a two-week ultimatum to the association’s leadership and a private estate developer, K. Zorre Properties, to resolve long standing issues surrounding land documentation and ownership.
The group, made up of nurses who claim to have fully paid for their plots as far back as 2020, is demanding urgent action after years of silence and delays. According to the members, the promised lands advertised by GRNMA Upper West in partnership with K. Zorre Properties remain undocumented and inaccessible, despite assurances and repeated follow ups.
The ultimatum was announced during a press conference held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the GRNMA Guest House in Wa. The event was organized by the concerned nurses to publicly express their frustrations over the lack of accountability and transparency from both the GRNMA leadership and the private developer.
Speaking on behalf of the group, representatives lamented the undue delays, lack of communication, and alleged threats faced by some members for demanding what they believe is rightfully theirs.
“This has gone on for far too long,” one spokesperson said. “We completed our payments years ago, yet we still have no land, no documents, and no answers. We are giving them two weeks from today to resolve this matter once and for all.”
The group insists that if no tangible response is received by the end of the two-week period, they will consider escalating the matter through legal channels and broader public advocacy.
