Monday, April 24 declared a public holiday

The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, has announced that Monday, April 24 is a public holiday.

He indicated that the day will be marked as Eid-ul-Fitr and also a statutory public holiday.

Eid-ul-Fitr falls on Saturday, April 22 but by Executive Instrument, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has declared the immediate working day, Monday, as the holiday throughout the country.

This is in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, Act 601.
