Asakia Hawawu Hanaan, born on October 20, 2002, is a shining example of passion, determination, and leadership from the Upper East Region of Ghana. Her roots are deeply embedded in this region, with her father, Mr. Asakia Mohammed, hailing from Sumbrungu and her mother, Mrs. Sherifa Apambilla, from Zebilla in the Bawku District. Asakia carries the spirit of her heritage proudly, channeling it into every endeavor she undertakes.

From a young age, Asakia demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for leadership and a fervent desire to make a difference. Her early years at Nadeng-Zein Academy set the stage for her future accomplishments, where she served as Entertainment Prefect, reflecting her vibrant personality and ability to engage and inspire others.
Achievements at T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School
Her journey continued at T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School from 2017 to 2020, where she truly blossomed. Asakia’s skills as a debater shone brightly when she led her school to victory in the Luv FM High School Debate in 2018, earning the prestigious title of “Overall Best Debater.” Her talents didn’t stop there; in 2019, she was crowned “Most Talented Female Personality.” Additionally, Asakia was instrumental in establishing the school’s first Writers and Debaters Club, becoming its inaugural president, and served as Assistant Girls Prefect, further showcasing her dedication to leadership and service.
Higher Education and Continued Success
Asakia’s academic prowess and commitment to excellence earned her a full scholarship from Luv FM to pursue her education at Christian Service University, where she studied Communication with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism. Her talent continued to shine, as she won the prestigious “Face of Christian Service” title in 2021, along with the coveted “People’s Choice Award.” In 2023, her eloquence further cemented her reputation, winning the “Most Eloquent Contestant” title in the Face of NUGS (National Union of Ghanaian Students) competition. She capped off the year with a resounding victory at Miss Upper East Ghana, earning both the “Miss Tourism” and “Overall Best Performance for the Second Face (Debate and Justify Your Inclusion)” titles.

At only 21 years old, Asakia has completed her degree and is already making a significant impact on her community.
